This is something we run into a lot during cheer music season. Many High School routines are split with a cheer taking place between each music section. Because there is no rhythm to follow, this creates a timing issue. Some clients request we leave an exact amount of time that it takes them to cheer. This can be risky because with competition adrenaline, if the team goes too fast - you will find your athletes standing around waiting for the music to come back on. If they go too slow, the music will kick in before they have completed their cheer. For this reason, we recommend a few second pause between each section for the music to be paused until the cheer is complete. The sections can be split into two tracks as well, however, this may create more room for error for the person operating the music (who is probably not familiar with your routine). We usually provide a variety of mixes so you can decide what works best and practice a variety of methods.
